Alright - so, I haven't posted in a while, mainly because there hasn't been much movement. As always in this line of work, we have to be prepared for the unexpected. We have to plan as if we're leaving tomorrow, but not get frustrated when the start date is pushed back at the last minute.
the lastest is that we have yet to get a signed contract from the client - so, it makes it very difficult for me to book a flight. If all goes well, we'll get it signed tomorrow (we've heard that before) and I might be headed over there for the first phase next Wed (the 14th). In all likelihood, however, I will probably not be going until after Thanksgiving.
On other fronts - life is actually going pretty good. My friend Kelly invited me to an art exhibit for her friend Mikki at the Continental Lofts Gallery. What a fun time, Mikki is very talented. The exhibit was entitled 'I See Dead People - The Dearly Departed Uniquely Depicted'. She painted twenty deceased celebrities/famous people in a way that represented their lives. I'll have to say that my favorite was a depiction of Billy Holliday - it was amazing. In addition to the art, Mikki choreographed a dance number to a mix of popular eerie songs (think Thriller and the like). Check Mikki out at www.mikkimallow.com We celebrated Mikki's success (just about all pieces sold that night) at Monkey Bar off Exposition. Congrats Mikki!!!
The rest of the weekend was spent with friends enjoying the weather, watching football and eating very yummy (albeit not the healthiest) food.
Until next time.....
